The Vance & Hines Show Truck made its first trip to the Pacific Northwest last week for the Good Vibrations summer bike rally in Salem, Oregon. Riders west of the Cascades from Seattle to Medford, proved that they’re no fair weather riders, making their way through summer rain showers to come out and support the fledgling rally in its sophomore season.
In partnership with local Drag Specialties dealer Salem Harley-Davidson, the Vance & Hines Show Truck setup at the main vendor village at Keizer Station right off the Interstate 5, providing rally-goers with the opportunity to see and hear the range of Vance & Hines exhaust systems available for all the popular Harley-Davidson motorcycle models, including the numerous choices of slip-ons available for Touring models.
And through Salem Harley, riders were able to get their dressers outfitted with everything from the mellow toned Monster Ovals and Monster Rounds to the more aggressive rumble of Hi-Output slip-ons, or the value-leading Twin Slash Rounds.
One final note, the grass field that the vendor village was staged on turned into a swamp on Sunday as rain fell relentlessly throughout the day, marooning the Show Truck as it attempted to make its way out. But thanks to a helping hand from a local Oregonian passing by on Interstate 5, who upon witnessing our predicament, pulled off the highway to give us a tow, single-handedly putting the Show Truck back on the highway to continue its summer tour which includes the upcoming Carlisle Bike Fest, Sturgis Rally and the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix.
